"Oh my God," Kade murmurs when Susan shows up at his door, knocking briskly. It's quiet, practically subvocal, but she can still make out the words distinctly. He wipes his hands on his trousers and extends one. "Susan Pevensie. Hi! I'm Kade. Kade West."

"I know," she says, glancing at his hand for a moment and then shaking it. "You're our tailor. I'm afraid I've been delinquent in introducing myself." She's been busy, but in the wake of all of the Mansion's most recent spat of strangeness, she decided it was high time that she conspire to meet him. She needs some sort of change-up to her days, which have become rather routine and increasingly feel uninspiring. Not that she wants more Mansion-driven mischief, just that... it was nice, to have a little adventure, once she set her worry for Lancelot to the side. "But you worked wonders for Lancelot's wardrobe."

A bright grin flashes across Kade's face as he takes in her pointed tone. His teeth are extremely white and, frankly, unsettlingly straight. "You want I should give you a makeover, too?"

Susan glances down at herself. She's back in mourning black, one of her everyday dresses. It feels more comfortable than color, sometimes, but... in truth, she misses being eye-catching. "If you'd be so kind," she says, briskly. "I haven't got a particular look in mind. I'll try whatever you think might be interesting."

Kade's smile broadens. "You're giving me a blank check?"

"I shan't wear it if I don't like it."

"Of course, of course," Kade says, and opens his door wide. "C'mon up. Tell me about your Worlds. I'll get you all sorted out."

Three days later, Susan decides she might as well try debuting the first outfit Kade selected. It's all black, so it seems a good gateway to the more colorful options, especially as she's not convinced of trousers - she's ever so used to the skirts and garters and stockings she defaults to day after day. And, she finds, as she checks the outfit in her mirror, it's strange to wear a top with meagre built-in supports but no brassiere. The red heels he chose, though... those, she loves. He'd recommended curls and a bold lip with this look, but she doesn't like the fussiness of curling her hair and instead leaves it loose and smooth down her back.

She can't deny that she looks phenomenal. The trousers, though they feel uncomfortably tight, look flatteringly as if they're painted on. She has, delightfully, gained some weight since arriving here, especially now that she's off her grief diet, and her figure is truly striking. The top is on the verge of indecent, with a low neckline and sleeves that fall off her shoulders, and she considers throwing on the jacket Kade suggested just for some degree of modesty across her decolletage... but that would go against her purpose of trying something exciting and different and new. So she shrugs, leaves the jacket on the edge of the bed, pats the spot where usually she would have her pocket and her notebook, fetches a handbag so she might still carry her notebook along with her (she wants a change, but that's no reason to be unprepared!), and sets out, Regina at her heels.

Susan has no way of knowing this, but anyone who's been to Earth after the late 1970s will recognize that Kade has put her in a perfect recreation of Sandy's greaser outfit at the end of Grease.



People who will find this hot and/or striking and/or familiar in some way are obviously welcome, but also anyone who wants to touch base after the AU days and/or meet Regina are encouraged to tag in too!

"Canst put it back on when we've finished." He's not sure he knows how to get her out of it, truth be told, but he's willing to figure it out. "And then perhaps I'll take it off again."

After, Susan rolls off of him, her hair in tremendous disarray, and casts a look to the crumpled pile of clothing that's been knocked to the floor. "Well," she says with great satisfaction, kissing Lancelot's shoulder, then his neck. "That outfit lasted approximately thirty minutes."

"It might last thirty more, once thou hast dressed again," with a little grin, "We shall see."

She kisses the tip of his nose, pleased - and then gasps. "Regina!" she says, climbing unsteadily from the bed and making her way to the door. "I believe we might have shut her out." She cracks it open, heedless of her nakedness; Regina darts in and she shuts it firmly again.

"Oh!" He sits up, equally alarmed, and says to Regina, "My lady, apologies! I should be more careful."

Regina lets out a long series of meows as she walks around the room, sniffing gingerly at the clothes on the floor; then, affecting nonchalance, she leaps onto the desk and curls up.

Susan, meanwhile, goes to perch on the side of the bed, pressing a kiss to Lancelot's cheek, sliding a hand down his back. "Do you know," she says, curling against him, "it's just occurred to me that we've still got time before lunch. Was stumbling across me when you did a happy accident, then?"

Lancelot watches Regina with amusement.

He settles an arm around Susan, "In truth? I was seeking thee."

"You found me," Susan says, again smug, turning into his touch. "I'm afraid I'm not sorry at all if I've diverted you from your purpose."

"Hast not, as speaking with thee was my aim," he turns and kisses her, sweet and brief. "The rest of this was merely a great boon."

She sighs happily, resting a hand on his chest. "I do so enjoy your flattery," she says, and kisses him again, soft and fleeting. "Had you a topic in mind, or did you just desire the pleasure of shared company?"

"I had a topic in mind, though," he tightens his arm around her, "it is tempting to forget it on thy behalf."

"I do so love to be a distraction." Susan swings a leg over his lap, shifting to kiss him deeply - it would be equally accurate to acknowledge that, perhaps, Susan loves being distracted.

He laughs into the kiss -- he can't be fussed to really bring the conversation around, not in this sort of mood.

If it's an urgent matter, Lancelot shall let her know. Otherwise Susan shall let herself get lost in this distraction for some long honeyed moments. The warm spring sun is sluicing through the window; Lancelot's equally-warm hands are on her, holding her. She feels tremendously satisfied, actually. It suffuses her, making her feel light and easy.

"Such joy thou dost bring me," he murmurs, kissing the corner of her mouth.

"Likewise," she whispers, kissing him again, indulgently thorough, before forcing herself to pull back, resting her forehead against his, drawing tiny little shapes on his shoulder and waist with her fingertips. "What did you want to talk about?"

"Mmm," pleasantly, though it's followed by a little sigh. "Well-- it is less enjoyable than this, but... there is something I would have thy thoughts on, but it will take some explaining."

"How much 'less enjoyable?'" Susan wonders. That's a tremendously broad category! The only thing more enjoyable than trading nude kisses with Lancelot whilst she's in his lap is actively making love with him. Still, while she doesn't pull noticeably back, she does grow palpably more focused.

"Oh-- it isn't bad, only strange. Perhaps I can tell thee of the start as we dress. I will need to take thee elsewhere to show thee."

"All right, color me curious," says Susan, darting in for one more kiss before reluctantly sliding back off his lap. "Be a dear and fetch me my new trousers?"
