"Oh my God," Kade murmurs when Susan shows up at his door, knocking briskly. It's quiet, practically subvocal, but she can still make out the words distinctly. He wipes his hands on his trousers and extends one. "Susan Pevensie. Hi! I'm Kade. Kade West."

"I know," she says, glancing at his hand for a moment and then shaking it. "You're our tailor. I'm afraid I've been delinquent in introducing myself." She's been busy, but in the wake of all of the Mansion's most recent spat of strangeness, she decided it was high time that she conspire to meet him. She needs some sort of change-up to her days, which have become rather routine and increasingly feel uninspiring. Not that she wants more Mansion-driven mischief, just that... it was nice, to have a little adventure, once she set her worry for Lancelot to the side. "But you worked wonders for Lancelot's wardrobe."

A bright grin flashes across Kade's face as he takes in her pointed tone. His teeth are extremely white and, frankly, unsettlingly straight. "You want I should give you a makeover, too?"

Susan glances down at herself. She's back in mourning black, one of her everyday dresses. It feels more comfortable than color, sometimes, but... in truth, she misses being eye-catching. "If you'd be so kind," she says, briskly. "I haven't got a particular look in mind. I'll try whatever you think might be interesting."

Kade's smile broadens. "You're giving me a blank check?"

"I shan't wear it if I don't like it."

"Of course, of course," Kade says, and opens his door wide. "C'mon up. Tell me about your Worlds. I'll get you all sorted out."

Three days later, Susan decides she might as well try debuting the first outfit Kade selected. It's all black, so it seems a good gateway to the more colorful options, especially as she's not convinced of trousers - she's ever so used to the skirts and garters and stockings she defaults to day after day. And, she finds, as she checks the outfit in her mirror, it's strange to wear a top with meagre built-in supports but no brassiere. The red heels he chose, though... those, she loves. He'd recommended curls and a bold lip with this look, but she doesn't like the fussiness of curling her hair and instead leaves it loose and smooth down her back.

She can't deny that she looks phenomenal. The trousers, though they feel uncomfortably tight, look flatteringly as if they're painted on. She has, delightfully, gained some weight since arriving here, especially now that she's off her grief diet, and her figure is truly striking. The top is on the verge of indecent, with a low neckline and sleeves that fall off her shoulders, and she considers throwing on the jacket Kade suggested just for some degree of modesty across her decolletage... but that would go against her purpose of trying something exciting and different and new. So she shrugs, leaves the jacket on the edge of the bed, pats the spot where usually she would have her pocket and her notebook, fetches a handbag so she might still carry her notebook along with her (she wants a change, but that's no reason to be unprepared!), and sets out, Regina at her heels.

Susan has no way of knowing this, but anyone who's been to Earth after the late 1970s will recognize that Kade has put her in a perfect recreation of Sandy's greaser outfit at the end of Grease.



People who will find this hot and/or striking and/or familiar in some way are obviously welcome, but also anyone who wants to touch base after the AU days and/or meet Regina are encouraged to tag in too!

"Another cat," Sagramore says, half to himself, and then looks up at the cat's mistress and promptly stops. In general he does endeavor not to notice how pretty Susan is; it seems rude, all things considered. He averts his eyes and then immediately decides she'll find that annoying and reverts them. "Ah. Hello."

Susan's straight posture straightens further, but residual goodwill from her interaction with his alternate self affords her a small but polite (and largely genuine) smile. "Her name is Regina," she says, and takes in his unscarred face. "You're you again, I see."

"Regina. Hello." He drops into an easy crouch and offers his hand -- if asked, he'd still claim he doesn't like cats, but the nap with Charlotte has mellowed him. "I do seem to be."

Regina sniffs Sagramore's hand, does a tiny recoil, and then drives her wet little nose straight into the palm of it with a hard and fast bonk. Susan watches this, sorting through her thoughts, then says, "I'm glad."

In spite of himself, he's absolutely charmed. "Look at thee!" And then, glancing up, "Yes?"

Apollo is on his way back from the library, arms laden with books of poetry and music. He stops dead when he sees Susan --she's no Sandra Dee, but she's certainly a very nice sight to behold. He very nearly breaks into something from Summer Lovin', but remembers himself at the last second; most people here probably wouldn't get the reference anyway. Instead, he summons up his most genial smile and tilts his head, all charm and stunning good looks.

"I don't think we've had the pleasure of meeting."

He nods and shifts his grip on his books, smile warming into something a bit more flirtatious. (Never mind the fact that he's flirting with a woman from Narnia (?); he's gotten used to that part by now.)

"Definitely haven't met you, yeah. I would remember. I'm Apollo." That, in itself, is fairly obvious. He is glowing slightly as usual, his hair pulled back in a messy bun and dressed in a crocheted tank top that is conveniently tailored to perfectly show off his muscles. "I like the look."

He grins, all handsome and golden. "Yeah, unless you've met other guys named Apollo that glow."

There's a brief moment when Dionysus assumes the mansion has brought Sandy Dombrowski here, but before he says anything he sees her face and realizes who it is. "Susan! This is quite the departure!" It's obviously not a bad departure. "Have -- have you -- have you actually seen Grease?" She's from the actual 50s, when did she see Grease? Is there a vcr here and tapes of musicals and nobody told him?!

"No, no, it's -- it's a musical. One of the main characters dresses sort of like that at the end. It's... it's okay. Very popular show, but not one of my favorites. Music's catchy though."

"Holy shit," Janet says, exactly gobsmacked enough that she manages to completely miss the cat. She's usually an observant woman, but there's a lot to take in right now. A lot of tits and ass, mostly. "Is it Halloween?"

"Why would it be Halloween?" asks Susan, smug with the ferocity of Janet's reaction. She strikes a bit of a pose, cocking her hip to one side and resting a hand on it, letting her hair sway.

Janet doesn't bother even halfway trying not to ogle her. Why would she? It's obviously what Susan wants her to do. She's happy to provide, a grin threatening. "The costume. You're all dressed up with nowhere to go."

"You're dressed like a greaser," Janet points out with amusement. "I'm not complaining. You look like somebody's wet dream."

Lancelot is looking for Susan anyway, though it's a bit earlier than he usually seeks her out for lunch. He has spent the morning in his usual pursuits, but while he was working through drills and taking Rivelin out he was also mulling over how to handle Noo-boh¹. For now, he has left the ... being in the game room, and he was careful to check in first thing this morning.

He finds her as she's heading down the corridor near their room. Her presence registers first, and he says, cheerfully, "Ah! Susan--"

And then his brain catches up with what he's actually seeing and he stops suddenly, looking more than a little stunned. After a moment, he does make himself stop gaping at her, at least. "My God."

As he's unfreezing, his gaze is taking her in, appreciatively and intently.
