Anxiety would be ridiculous, and so Susan isn't anxious. She has got every speck of furniture in the bedroom she shares with Lancelot covered with thick white cloths - which has got Regina in a riot of confusion - and has laid out an array of snacks, including carrot sticks, cucumber slices, apples, assorted crackers, and chunks of good cheddar cheese. There's a bottle of chilled apple juice on the sideboard next to her collection of teaware, with a sippy cup resting next to it. Next to the bare wall between the windows, behind her desk and next to her reading nook, she's got an assortment of paints and brushes laid out. Lancelot is off with Laertes for the afternoon, and Laertes has promised to keep him thoroughly occupied until dinner.

Susan greets Sagramore and Sunny warmly when they arrive, exchanges the standard pleasantries with Sagramore, and turns to Sunny when he takes his leave. "I do appreciate your doing this," she says, as Regina creeps close to give Sunny a tentative sniff.

Sunny is impressed! Of course, Susan is a successful businesswoman, hence why they are business rivals, so it makes sense that she would be good at planning for something like this. Sunny isn't sure why there's white sheets covering everything up, but it does make things look kinda cool and fancy, so she doesn't question it.

She also doesn't really notice Susan's comment, because her attention has zeroed in on the cat. "Hello kitty cat," Sunny says.

"Uh huh. Your kitty cat." Sunny reaches out to pet Regina, because she is a pro at petting pets.

"It's been rather a while, hasn't it? I believe you weren't even consistently walking when you last saw her." Regina, meanwhile, doesn't quite remember Sunny's smell - mostly she smells Szarka, which to Regina's delicate nose speaks of Lancelot. Accordingly, she deigns to be petted.

"I'm good at amembering things though, even though it was soooo so a long time ago." Sunny runs her hand all down Regina's back, doing such a good job of petting.

"Miaou miaou," Sunny miaous at Regina.

Abruptly, Susan's heart thuds in her chest. She knows Sunny isn't referring to her sister, but still, she asks, "Lucy?"

"Uh huh Luci. You don't know Luci?" Sunny thought Susan knew everyone because she's an important businesswoman.

"I know a Lucy. Has your Lucy got another name, as well?"

"Hims long name is Lucin." She can't believe Susan doesn't know Luci! Maybe the Luci Susan is thinking about is the correct one. "Um, you know. Him is from France, and really quiet sometime, and like to make bread, and like to eat bread, and haves a kitty cat Charlotte!"

Susan shakes herself, and with it shakes off the disappointment suffusing her. There's no purpose to it; she knew it wasn't the right Lucy. "You're speaking of Enjolras?"

"That's hims last name, like my last name is Baudelaire, but some people don't have them."

"Very wise," says Susan. "I do know Charlotte." She swallows all possible commentary on Enjolras's dreadful decisions vis-a-vis letting his cat out of doors. "Enjolras - beg pardon, Lucy? - is your best friend?"

"No, my best friend is Crowley. But I'm Luci's best friend."

Susan, privately, doubts that Enjolras could respect any woman - even a very young woman like Sunny - enough to consider her a genuine friend, but she doesn't voice this, either. At least Sunny doesn't seem to be idolizing the man. "Oh my," she says. "That sounds tremendously socially complicated. Is he terribly sad that he's not your best friend?"

"Uh huh I bet hims probaly sad about it. I gonna find him a new best friend though and let him know."

"I think that - naturally with the exception of you - he'd prefer a man as a best friend," says Susan. "Perhaps Qi Yan? He's thoughtful, educated, and politically savvy, and Enjolras seems to enjoy thinking about politics."

Huh. Does Susan think boys have to be friends with boys only? Weird. "I thoughted maybe if it was Phelia then that would be good cause hims still gonna come to my house so him not gotta change plans too much."
